We’re coming out of the ‘information era’, and moving into the era of, ‘Solutions for Better Human Life’. When your employees feel more peace and resilience, this will positively influence their life at home, at work and interactions with your clients.
Encourage your team to clear their minds and embed new, healthy practices into their life so they can be their best selves in all relationships they have; at work and home.
The Why
Yoga, mindful meditation and inner reflection will (over time) improve internal awareness and a better awareness of others around us; allowing us to be better colleagues, leaders, and employees… building the ability to respond, rather than react.
Become more aware of how your body functions; the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) and sympathetic nervous system (SNS). Why?
In short, the PNS is our relaxation response - our rest and digest system, and the SNS is our fight or flight modes - our stress response to stay alive.
Our modern wold of information and the celebration of being 'busy' means we spend a lot of time in our SNS - our fight, flight and freeze modes. This state shuts down our ability to think clearly, respond appropriately, and limits our natural bodily functions.
Mindful movement, meditation and reflection gives us the time and space to come back to our PNS; to re-balance our natural bodily functions and helps us regulate our responses to external situations with more care and confidence. For example, we can make choices based on truth and necessity, rather than survival.
The How
Kanuka Yoga creates space within your office or virtually for yoga, meditation, and mindset coaching so you can share your business’ commitment to your employees’ wellbeing.
To deliver a well-rounded and robust wellbeing program, we aim to normalise mindful movement, meditation and inner reflection in the workplace. We’ll equip your workforce with skills they can use throughout each day; like moments before a big presentation or after a ‘courageous conversation’.
Yoga, meditation, and mindset coaching can be done in a spare conference room or even in a desk chair. We can accommodate a broad range of people and body-types. For example, those with injuries and who prefer a more gentle and restorative practice, or those those looking to build strength and flexibility. We support better posture at your desk, and provide useful reflection tools to become more mindful throughout each day.

Did You Know?
"It's a scientific fact that the hormones of stress down-regulate genes to create disease in the long term." Dr Joe Dispenza
Based on the 2019 NZ Workplace Wellness Report, relationships are a key cause of stress in both work and life at home.
It is estimated that 40% of sick days are caused by work-related mental stress.
Research shows that bringing mindfulness into the workplace improves culture, improves workload management, increased focus and decision-making capabilities, and enhances relationships.
