Yogic teachings describe an innate, dormant force at the base of the spine within every human, holding the potential to expand consciousness to profound levels. Through dedicated practice, we can experience deep healing and balance in our emotional, physical, energetic, and mental dimensions.

Kundalini Yoga serves as a powerful tool to access this experience and transform our consciousness. It is a type of yoga that goes beyond physical postures; it is a journey into the depths of your being, where you use your inner mirror to discover and understand yourself in a meaningful and transformative way. This is why Kundalini Yoga is often referred to as "the yoga of awareness."

This holistic practice integrates asanas, pranayama, meditation, chanting, and devotional practices, all aimed at connecting with the creative energy and peace that resides within your heart.

In this introductory class, you will experience:

• Introduction to Tune-In Mantras and Sound Technology

• The Importance of Warm-Up Exercises

• Kriya: A specific sequence of exercises designed to detoxify and balance the body's systems

• Relaxation with a Gong Bath: A powerful tool to release tension, trauma, and stress stored in the body

• Meditation

Kundalini Yoga is accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or fitness level. Th multilevel class offers modifications, allowing you to adapt your practice to your uniq body and needs. Each session is a sacred space for personal exploration and collective healing. Whether you’re seeking physical health, emotional balance, or spiritual connection, Kundalini Yoga provides a path to unlock the limitless creative and healing energy within you.

About Maheshjoti Kaur:

I am a devoted yogini, performing artist, and creative researcher with a PhD in Dance

Studies (Yogic Science, Trandisciplinarity and Dance Spiritualities) from The University of

Auckland. My journey as a Kundalini Yoga practitioner and instructor is deeply

intertwined with my artistic practice and research, creating a unique universe where the

wisdom of yogic science meets the expressive power of dance and performing arts.

I began my yogic journey with Kriya Yoga in 2007, deepening my practice with Kundalini

Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 2012. Since 2007, I have maintained a daily practice,

and this has has profoundly transformed my life. My passion lies in sharing this sacred

gift, empowering others to uncover the treasures within themselves and transform their

lives.

As a certified Level 2 Kundalini Yoga instructor, I specialise in Yoga for Women, anxiety

and feminine depression, weaving these teachings with my artistic vision to create

deeply transformative experiences. My training also includes Kundalini Yoga and dance,

Kundalini for children, Naad Yoga, and Karam Kriya (yogic numerology).

Through my teaching and research, I explore “the invisible” “Tattva Flow” and “the

connected body,” inviting students to experience transformation through movement,

breath, kriyas, and meditation.

My Masters in Kundalini Yoga have been Nam Nidham Kaur Khalsa (Level 1), Shiv

Charan Singh (Level 2 and Karam Kriya). I have also studied Naad Yoga with Parvinder

Singh and Atma Kaur.

About Kundalini Yoga: A Brief Intro History

Kundalini Yoga, often referred to as the "Yoga of Awareness," is an ancient practice

rooted in the rich traditions of yogic science, with a deep connection to Naad Yoga and

Sikh Dharma through the mantras used in the practice.

In 1969, Yogi Bhajan introduced Kundalini Yoga to the West, making it accessible to

people from all walks of life. His intention was to provide individuals with tools to

navigate the challenges of modern living, such as stress, addiction, depression and

disconnection, while promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

While his teachings have inspired countless practitioners, Yogi Bhajan's legacy has also

been subject to scrutiny due to allegations regarding his conduct. This has sparked

important conversations within the Kundalini Yoga community about ethics,

accountability, and the separation of the teachings from the teacher.

As a teacher, my own experience with Kundalini Yoga has been shaped by learning

from devoted yogis and masters who live in alignment with the sacred sound current,

Sikh Dharma, and the Golden Chain. While I acknowledge the voices of women who

have shared their personal stories regarding the allegations, It would be impossible for

me to overlook or deny the profound transformation and impact these teachings have

had on my own life, my nervous system and the relationship I have with my own mind.

Like me, I have heard the stories of hundreds of people whose lives have been radically

changed by the power of these teachings.

Personally, I believe Kundalini Yoga resides in the hearts and hands of the teachers

who pass on its legacy by living in coherence and consistency, serving humanity. The

benefits of this practice are deeply experiential, offering an opportunity to connect wi

our inner strength, discover our true essence, and experience profound shifts in

awareness. Through kriyas, breathwork, and meditation, we step into a lineage of self-

discovery and empowerment that transcends individual personalities.

This practice has profoundly impacted my life, granting me clarity, creativity, and

resilience, and I am honored to share its gifts with you. Together, we will explore the

essence of Kundalini Yoga, grounded in integrity and a shared journey of growth.
